It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. Our programming and core mission has remained the same. Dream Foundation will continue to fulfill final Dreams during this time, but we are taking certain precautions and are monitoring the situation closely. At the "I Have A Dream" Foundation, we provide individualized social, emotional, and academic support to young people ("Dreamers") from under-resourced communities from kindergarten all the way through college, along with guaranteed tuition support. After a successful 28-year run as the Des Moines "I Have a Dream" Foundation, we rebranded our organization in December of 2018 and are now the By Degrees Foundation.

This utopian dream of a perfect world, however, can have serious consequences for the survival of the human species and life as we know it. With this move, we have become an entirely local nonprofit committed to making systemic changes in the schools and neighborhoods we serve. Sten K Johnson Foundation wants to reach out to individuals, organizations and companies (with a link to Skåne) who have vision and drive to develop projects in education, culture, technology, medicine, entrepreneurship, literature and music. It has been an incredible journey and one to be celebrated. At present, we will be evaluating all travel Dream requests on a case by case basis.
